Christie’s to Auction Vivienne Westwood’s Personal Collection

From Punk to Couture

Christie’s is gearing up for what promises to be an historic fashion event—the auction of the estate of the iconic Vivienne Westwood this June. The sale will feature over 200 lots, each piece chronicling a pivotal moment in Westwood’s illustrious career, with items dating back to as early as FW 1983/84.

In preparation for the auction, Christie’s headquarters on King Street will host a free public exhibition from June 14th to 24th. This exhibition will display Westwood’s revolutionary designs. Her husband and long-time creative partner, Andreas Kronthaler, has carefully selected each item for auction, including some of the most recognizable pieces from her extensive collection. The proceeds from the sale of fashion, jewelry, and accessories will benefit The Vivienne Foundation, Amnesty International, Médecins Sans Frontières, and Greenpeace.
