Apple Introduces Redesigned Entry-Level iPad, Starting at $449 USD

In addition to revealing a new iPad Pro with an M2 chip, Apple also unveiled a revised version of its entry-level iPad. The less expensive variant has a non-laminated 10.9-inch display with a resolution of 2,360 x 1,640 and True Tone color correction.

The iPad’s frame mimics the narrow bezel design of higher-end models, with a USB-C charging connector but no headphone jack or fingerprint reader on the sleep/wake button.

A 12MP ultra-wide front camera and a 12MP rear camera are also available, both powered by an A14 Bionic chip that supports WiFi 6 and 5G on cellular variants.

Although the revised entry-level iPad only accepts the First-Generation Apple Pencil, it can be updated with a new $249 USD magnetic attachment/Smart Connector Magic Keyboard Folio, which includes full-size keys and a trackpad.
