The A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Aeon Active CX sneakers have been officially announced, following the release of teaser images late last month.
The two first collaborated in 2020 on a pair of Chuck Taylor Lugged boots with a heavy-duty makeover that included rugged black nylon uppers and rubber overlays. Converse and Samuel Ross collaborate on a futuristic lifestyle runner this time, combining Samuel Ross’ signature aesthetic with Converse’s cutting-edge CX comfort technology.
The laceless sneakers feature elastic stretch and combo mesh uppers with seasonal codes printed on the laterals, branded pull tabs on the tongue and heel, and thick Crater foam midsoles with a concrete-like texture. The design is completed by semi-translucent outsoles and an exaggerated heel kick and TPU heel wedge below for seamless on-and-off wear.
A “Micro Chip/Healing Jade/Black” colorway will be available exclusively on A-COLD-WALL website on April 6 and April 12, and a “Black/Apple Green” colorway will be available on May 8 via A-COLD-WALL and May 12 via Converse.
