Ever Slept Inside a Rock? Hello Wood Studio’s Latest Cabin Will Make Your Dream Come True

Following the construction of its Wauhaus viewing cabin in Hungary’s Zala County Hills, Hello Wood Studio is back with a brand-new endeavor in the form of a complete cabin resort. Each Rock of the Balaton Uplands in Hungary, also known as the Rocks on the High Plains, is tucked away in a quiet area.

The resort was built to address the aging population in the nation, particularly in the rural villages, and it seeks to revitalize the economies of these communities through tourism. The project, which is located on two hectares of land and has grounds for international summer school festivals, is surrounded by rolling hills and farmsteads.

The six unique cabins, which are run in conjunction with TreeHouses, have a geometric design to make them seem more organic in their surroundings. They protrude from the ground like enormous polished stones. A bed, kitchen, wardrobe, bathroom, double shower, and panoramic infrared sauna are all included in each 21+15 square meter cabin. A sizable hot tub is also on the expansive covered terrace.

“Over the years, we have grown very fond of the area where we had held our camps,” says András Huszár, co-founder and CEO of Hello Wood.”It was clear, though, that once the summer festivals were over, Csóromfölde and the surrounding villages were abandoned for most of the year. From now on, we are going to be able to provide work for locals not only at the construction site but, through the operative tasks, throughout the whole year.”

With this development, Hello Wood hopes to transform its Rocks into a notable structure that will draw tourists to the Kapolcs region year-round.
