Kim Jones‘ Dior can make anything luxurious, now including a gardening kit. Its newest set, which is made from swaths of grained beige or black bull calfskin leather is not aimed at those who are green-fingered and love nature. Although the design is stunning, Jones could have used more environmentally friendly materials.
The set includes a fold-able seat with nods to Christian Dior’s iconic Saddle bag, which Jones designed as an ode to the house’s love of flowers and gardens. The Saddle bag’s curvaceous shapes appear as a pocket on the fold-able chair, which is completed with D-ring hardware and palladium-finished Dior branding.
The set also includes a hand rake and spade, both with palladium hardware, grained leather handles, and Dior branding on the base of each handheld accessory. The set can be folded and carried, but it is best to keep it in the special box with the pouch to keep it in tip-top shape.
