Gucci Unveils “Hacker Project” Release Details

The project, from the Gucci Aria collection, was revealed back in April.

For the Fall/Winter 2021 season, Gucci will present the highly anticipated “Hacker Project” collection, which will feature Alessandro Michele “hacking” the house codes of Balenciaga.

The collection, which was unveiled at the April runway show, includes a wide selection of ready-to-wear clothing and accessories, as well as purses and shoes. In terms of clothing, the collection features jackets and coats with the GG monogram “hacked” by Balenciaga’s logos on top. Lace blouses, sequined shirts, and street-ready parkas are among the maximalist designs.

Michele has recreated iconic lines from both houses, including Gucci’s Jackie 1961 and Balenciaga’s Hourglass, for purses. The Gvasalia-helmed label’s Ville Top Handle bag, in instance, is emblazoned with the GG monogram all throughout.

In terms of footwear, the Triple-S sneaker gets a Gucci-inspired makeover with colorful flower embellishments. Gucci’s pumps, on the other hand, include Balenciaga emblems. Scarves, necklaces, bracelets, wallets, and other accessories round out the collection.
