The actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently to discuss his new comic book Brzrkr. Reeves is now developing and writing a superhero comic book that will be converted into an anime and live-action feature. The plot portrays an eternal warrior fighting through the ages, led by Reeves himself. Later in the conversation, Reeves was asked if he ever wanted to play a Marvel character. According to Reeves, “10-year-old me would want to — I think he’d probably want to be Ghost Rider.”

It is no surprise that Reeves still has a soft spot for Marvel. Kevin Feige has been vocal about chatting with Reeves about perhaps having him join the MCU, whether it was a tiny or large cameo.

The studio admitted that it still wanted to “figure out the right way” for his arrival into the universe.

Reeves spoke about his appreciation of Marvel, “It’s really cool. I think the way that the Marvel films have developed and what they are is really spectacular, and it would be great to be a part of that.” In the past, Nicolas Cage and Matt Long have played Ghost Rider, aka Johnny Blaze in the MCU. It remains to be seen if Marvel will recast Reeves as the character in the near future.
