As the NBA season approaches, Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant prepares for the new season with the constant publication of his Nike assortment.
His most recent iteration follows a practice he started in 2012 to honor his beloved aunt, who died of lung cancer in 2000. The Nike KD 15 “Aunt Pearl” is now available in an all-pink colorway.
The shoe features distinctive pink color blocking and additional accents to honor his Aunt Pearl and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. The shoe is constructed from a variety of materials, including mesh, suede, and rubber.
Floral embroidery and a marbelized design for the underfoot may be seen throughout the shoe. The tongue features his KD insignia, and the Swoosh is accented in a pink mosaic style.
Nike KD 15 “Aunt Pearl” will be available for $160 USD at select shops and on Nike.com in the coming weeks. The proceeds from the limited edition sneaker will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
