Following Kobe Bryant‘s tragic death in 2020, adidas wanted to honor his iconic basketball legacy and former partnership with the brand by reintroducing one of his previous silhouettes: the adidas Crazy 1.
Throughout 2022, the German sportswear label reissued the court classic in colorways like “Sunshine” and “Stormtrooper,” and now its “Lakers Home” offering is set to make a triumphant return.
This is the rendition’s first return to the market since 2006, and it retains all of its original design cues. Its Lakers-inspired ensemble coordinates with the team’s alternate home attire. A crisp, angelic “Footwear White” dominates the upper half, smothering the toe boxes, mesh tongues, and side panels, the latter of which features tonal Three Stripes branding.
The adidas logos embroidered into the tongues, toe tip molds, and the center of the midsoles have “Court Purple” accents. To finish off the Lakers theme, “Bold Gold” bursts appear through the interior liners, heels, and treading.
The Kobe Bryant’s adidas Crazy 1 “Lakers Home” will be available at retailers like Asphalt Gold on November 11 for $140 USD.
