Mackintosh Keeps Things Understated For FW22

Mackintosh, based in Glasgow, is following up on its recent collaboration with Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL* with an all-new solo collection for Fall/Winter 2022. Mackintosh’s previous collection was focused on technical elements, including a waist-length pullover kagool and structured coach jackets made from RAINTEC fabrics.

Mackintosh, on the other hand, is staying true to its roots with a collection of classic outerwear silhouettes that have been subtly reworked and updated.

The collection’s emphasis is on the understated pieces for which Mackintosh is known, and it incorporates a variety of lightweight materials such as wool, linen, and nylon. All of the fabrics are also infused with vibrant colors such as vibrant purples and yellows.

The collection’s highlights include a contrast purple gilet that is water-repellent, windproof, and padded for warmth. The gilet is also made of durable nylon in a bold color-block pattern, with fine details like spacious front pockets and a moleskin-lined collar.

Mackintosh has also included a collection of high-quality knitwear, jackets, and cozy accessories such as a bucket hat and scarf to round out the collection.
