One Block Down Announces New Vans “Dog Days” Slip-On Collaboration

There are an abundance of streetwear stores and sneaker shops in Europe, including One Block Down, which is based in Milan, Italy. The Italian company is well known for frequently taking part in joint footwear projects, and it recently unveiled its most recent custom Slip-On “Dog Days” capsule with Vans.

One Block Down researched the DIY origins of the traditional easy-on-easy-off silhouette for this new project. Hand-decorated in three colorways, including “Caution,” “Bonfire,” and “Grass.”

On the upper, extremely precise beading that follows the lines of the checkerboard patterns has been used to lay down intricate sets of beads. One single shoe took an incredible 10 hours to complete. The hand-applied beads’ two-toned finish is reflected when light hits them from below.

Given the arduous and exhausting work it took to produce them, it would be best to set your alarms in advance if you are interested in snagging a pair. However, only 107 pairs were made in total. The entire collection will go on sale exclusively through One Block Down at 9am CET. Look at the pairs above more closely.
