Pawnshop Unveils Work Boot-Inspired Nike SB Dunk High Collaboration

Nike and its iconic Nike SB sub-label are in their striped box period, and a slew of eye-catching partnership deliveries are planned in 2023.

The Pawnshop Skate Co. x Nike SB Dunk High collaboration is set to release this month, and after being teased via multiple sneaker leaks and official Swoosh imagery, the California-based shop has officially unveiled its newest endeavor.

Anthony Piscopo, the father of Nike SB team rider Donovon Piscopo, founded Pawnshop Skate Co. in Covina, California in 2010. In order to support his son, he pawned a family heirloom, which inspired the name.

The west coast store also redesigned the original SB Dunk High with work boot-inspired elements for this footwear initiative. The kicks are designed with the OG Dunk’s tooling and feature a quality black leather upper with exposed golden stitchings around the Swooshes and gilded wings on the collars.

The Nike SB insignia remains on the tongues, while Pawnshop’s moniker replaces the standard model name. Another tribute to the Covina-based store can be found on the inner of the tongues with the words “Old Soul,” and its characteristic logo can be spotted on the right foot’s insole. The sneakers come with two pairs of laces that are embellished with gold aglets.

The Pawnshop Skate Co. x Nike SB Dunk will be available in select skate shops on January 14.
