Take a Look at the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “UNC”

The signature colors of the University of North Carolina are one of Jordan Brand‘s most frequently used palettes, as it is where Jordan made his name during his NCAA career.

The Tar Heel-inspired color schemes have appeared on a variety of silhouettes, including the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 6, and more, and now the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is getting its turn.

The smooth leather forefoot overlays, Swooshes, and interior lining are all smothered in solid black, similar to MJ’s classic “Black Toe” color-blocking method. The shoe’s “Dark Powder Blue” tone is accented throughout the upper, including the Nike Air branding on the tongues, the lower heel overlays, and the full outsoles.

Jordan’s design team used white panels across the toe boxes and quarters to balance everything out. According to early reports, these will be released on July 29th for $130 USD, but Nike has yet to confirm this.
