The Nike Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” Is Getting Another Reissue

Tinker Hatfield is responsible for designing some of Nike and Jordan Brand‘s most iconic sneaker silhouettes and colorways.

For the former, the legendary designer has a slew of Nike Sportswear makeups in his Swoosh portfolio, one of which is the Nike Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll,” which is set for a retro release. This iteration is a follow-up to its retro reintroduction in 2020.

The color schemes for this pair were inspired by the gym equipment at the Portland YMCA. The base is made of a smooth leather construction that has been painted white, with suede gray overlays on the front, quarters, and lower heels.

The eyelets, Nike Air branding on the tongues and heels, and the branding on the toe box straps all feature the shoe’s titular color. Solid black doses land on the lateral Swooshes and forefoot overlays to finish things off.

The Nike Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” will be dropping on May 13 for $120 USD via select retailers like Sneaker Politics.
