Louis Vuitton debuted Virgil Abloh‘s Spring/Summer 2022 collection earlier this week in Miami. Many of Abloh’s peers and colleagues came from all around to attend his farewell runway presentation. Many have paid respect to the prominent designer, who has been recognized as a change maker of our generation, since his passing.

Many high-profile guests attended the Miami Louis Vuitton “Virgil Was Here” SS22 display, including long-time partner Kanye West, Pharrell, Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Gunna, and Jerry Lorenzo. Two of the Migos members, Quavo and Offset, as well as Kid Cudi, walked the runway.

Cudi recently resorted to Twitter to disclose his final communication with the designer, claiming that he had messaged Abloh about what color to dye his hair to match his runway look. He also wrote, “Our last text was Saturday morning. Im glad I got to tell u how I felt about u. Im happy u didnt leave here not knowing. I love you Virg FOREVER”

Quavo wore a gleaming silver costume from head to toe, as well as a face covering in Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton black-and-white checkered design. He carried a huge silver chest in his hand as an adornment as he walked down the runway.

Offset was dressed in a royal blue tracksuit with a matching top hat, a black turtleneck, and chains. Kid Cudi’s ensemble featured the Man on the Moon rapper dressed from head to toe in lime green. As he came down the runway in a casual green fleece, his hair color complemented his ombré green costume.

Cudi’s debut on the Louis Vuitton runway was significant because he appeared in both Abloh’s first and final presentations. Later, at the post-show concert, he performed “Moon.”
